While the epicenter of Madrid Pride is Chueca, a neighborhood where self-expression is celebrated all year round, Pride takes over the whole city. You’ll find open-air stages, community events, and abundant joy across many of our key plazas: Pedro Zerolo, Plaza del Rey, Puerta del Sol, and Plaza de España. All made possible by the dedicated efforts of Spain’s LGBTQ+ organizations, including FELGTB, COGAM, AEGAL, and the Madrid LGBTQIA+ Collective.
Here’s how the full 2025 Pride Week breaks down:
- From June 28 – CHUECA’S PRIDE
Madrid’s LGBTQ+ neighborhood gets things started with a series of events in local venues and streets that will be full of spirit, stories, and sound.
- July 2 – PRIDE PROCLAMATION
The official kickoff. The Spanish Capital declares the start of Pride with a public proclamation, inviting all to join the celebration.
- Throughout the week – CONCERTS
Music fills the plazas as stages light up across the city in Plaza de Pedro Zerolo, Plaza del Rey, Puerta del Sol, and Plaza de España with performances that inspire, empower, and unite.
- July 3 – HIGH HEEL RACE
For those who are athletic and fierce, this beloved tradition sees participants race through the streets in heels up to six inches high. This iconic event is not to be missed.
- July 4 – MADRID SUMMIT
A global human rights conference bringing together activists, thought leaders, and voices from around the world.
- July 4 – MR. GAY PRIDE ESPAÑA
A spirited showcase that blends style, advocacy, and individuality to add even more flair to Europe’s most celebrated Pride.
- July 5 – PRIDE PARADE
Everything leads up to this moment. Part protest, part party: this parade is a moving celebration of love, music, visibility, and freedom.
- July 6 – MADO’25 CLOSING CEREMONY
The final notes of a weeklong symphony of identity, resilience, and unity.

Madrid Pride is more than an event, it’s a movement set to music. It’s a love letter to diversity. And a powerful reminder that when we come together, we’re stronger, our voices are louder and we’re the most alive. Whether you're here to raise your voice, your flag, or simply feel the rhythm of something bigger than yourself, UMusic Hotel Madrid is your stage.
